Actor-comedian Pete Davidson recently expressed his willingness to return to “Saturday Night Live” if series creator Lorne Michaels were to ask him back. In an interview with People on Nov. 8, Davidson credited Michaels with jump-starting his career, stating, “I owe that guy my life. I’d do anything for Lorne, and he knows that.”

Joining the “SNL” ensemble at just 20 years old, Davidson is one of the youngest cast members in the show’s history. Alongside the likes of Eddie Murphy and Robert Downey Jr., he made his mark on the sketch comedy show during its 40th season. Davidson spent eight seasons on “SNL” from 2014 to 2022 and returned to host an episode in October 2023, describing the experience as an honor and a privilege.

Outside of “SNL,” Davidson has ventured into film and television, starring in projects like “The King of Staten Island,” directed by Judd Apatow, as well as “Fast X,” “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,” and “The Pick-Up.” He has also appeared in the Peacock series “Bupkis” and collaborated with brands like Taco Bell and Amazon for ad campaigns.

Despite branching out into other ventures, Davidson still holds his “SNL” roots in high regard. He acknowledges the show’s enduring relevance and popularity, attributing its success to a talented cast and the anticipation it generates among viewers.

In conclusion, Pete Davidson’s potential return to “Saturday Night Live” would undoubtedly be a welcome sight for fans who have followed his career since his early days on the show. With Michaels at the helm, the possibility of Davidson reprising his role on the iconic sketch comedy series is one that many would eagerly anticipate.
