The pink eye makeup look showcased at the Dior show was truly a sight to behold. Inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms and the idea of smooth skin, this look was a perfect balance of simplicity and sophistication. The focal point of the makeup was the pink color placed under the eye, creating a striking yet natural appearance. Unlike traditional makeup looks that involve heavy contouring and highlighting, this look opted for a more minimalist approach.

In terms of eyeliner and mascara, they played a crucial role in enhancing the overall look. A brown waterproof liner was used not to outline the eyes, but to deepen the shadows and create dimension. By placing the liner slightly further away from the corner of the eye, it extended the shadow created by the eyelid, adding depth to the overall look. Brown mascara was delicately applied to the outer corner lashes only, as black mascara would have been too harsh and overpowering. The choice of brown mascara seamlessly blended with the eye makeup, creating a cohesive and polished finish.

When discussing the makeup look with Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the focus was on creating a look that was both modern and timeless. The goal was to capture the essence of Japanese cherry blossoms and translate it into a wearable and elegant makeup look. By incorporating elements of nature and simplicity, the makeup look perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of the show.

Overall, the pink eye makeup look at the Dior show was a true work of art. By combining elements of nature, simplicity, and modernity, the makeup look was able to stand out while still remaining sophisticated and understated. It was a perfect example of how less is more, and how makeup can be used to enhance natural beauty rather than mask it.
