Phish, a legendary jam band, has announced that they will be moving their annual Labor Day concerts from Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to Boulder’s Folsom Field this summer. The band will play three shows on July 3, 4, and 5 at the University of Colorado’s iconic venue.

The ticket-request period is currently open on phish.shop.ticketstoday.com, with general on-sales starting on Friday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices have not been released yet, so fans are encouraged to check for updates on axs.com.

Phish’s return to Boulder is significant as they last performed there in 1993. AEG Presents, the promoter, mentioned that the band has deep roots in Colorado, having played some of their earliest shows in the state.

Don Strasburg, president of AEG Presents Rocky Mountains, expressed excitement about the venue change, citing the band’s history in Boulder. He mentioned that while there are no confirmed plans beyond this year, the possibility of Phish returning to Folsom Field in the future is promising.

Folsom Field, known for hosting CU’s football games and concerts, has a capacity of approximately 42,000 to 43,000, making it an ideal location for large-scale events like Phish’s upcoming shows.

While Dick’s Sporting Goods Park has been a staple for Phish’s Labor Day concerts, recent issues with the venue, such as concerns about pests and logistics, prompted the move to Boulder. The band’s devoted fan base is eagerly anticipating the new setting for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.

With the upcoming concerts at Folsom Field, Phish fans can look forward to a memorable summer filled with incredible music and a unique concert experience under the stars and the Flatirons.
