Interestingly, pre-orders for the latest devices will be available significantly earlier than the Made by Google event begins. By visiting the Google Store, you can see a countdown timer ticking down to 11am ET/3pm GMT on Wednesday, when orders can be placed.
This early availability is quite unusual, given the seven-hour lead time. Normally, pre-orders coincide with the start of a launch event, which often aligns with the lifting of news embargoes. However, Google is allowing purchases of the Pixel 11 even before its official announcement on stage.
We anticipate the launch of four phones: the standard Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Additionally, Google plans to introduce a new Pixel Watch 5, a new color for its flagship earbuds, and a Pixel Tag tracker.
All phone variants are expected to offer 256GB of storage as standard, potentially easing the impact of anticipated price increases for the two more affordable models. A new feature, HiLight, will also debut. It’s an indicator light integrated into the camera flash that illuminates to notify you when a favorite contact reaches out or when interacting with Gemini.
