President Trump was celebrated as a “colossal figure” and a “monument in Jewish history,” regarded as a leader most worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize.

“You, President Donald J. Trump, are a colossus destined to be remembered in the annals of history for millennia to come,” asserted Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana as applause filled the room.

“No one on this planet has done more to foster peace than you have. No one even comes close. Your election to the presidency marks a pivotal moment, not just for the United States but for the entire world,” he continued.

“You have emerged as one of the most impactful presidents in history. Numerous lives were saved due to your leadership, and many would have been lost without it.”

Israel plans to advocate for Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in the upcoming year, he stated.

“No one is more deserving than you, President Trump,” he told the leader of the free world.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to Trump as “the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the Oval Office,” expressing deep gratitude for the president’s role in securing peace in Gaza and facilitating the release of all Israeli hostages.

“No American president has done more for Israel.  … it’s not even a competition,” Netanyahu remarked.

“You have already made your mark in the history of mankind,” added the prime minister. “Thank you, President Trump.”

Netanyahu also praised Trump for his dedication to promoting peace.

“You commit to this peace, and I am committed to this peace as well,” he expressed. “Together, Mr. President, we will achieve this peace.”

Netanyahu announced that he would be nominating Trump for the Israel Prize — the nation’s highest cultural distinction — in recognition of his efforts to free hostages.

“Mr. President, thank you for everything you have done for us. I have submitted your nomination to be the first non-Israeli recipient of the Israel Prize, Israel’s highest honor,” he said as the Knesset erupted in applause.

Netanyahu then made a pointed reference to the “other prize,” implying the Nobel Peace Prize, suggesting that it is “only a matter of time” before Trump wins that accolade too.

The president and his administration recently facilitated a landmark peace agreement, leading Hamas to release 20 surviving hostages and return the remains of 28 others—individuals who suffered more than two agonizing years in Gaza after their abduction during Hamas’ brutal invasion on October 7, 2023.
