Today, President Donald J. Trump visits the Buckeye State to attend the Patriot Games finals, marking 250 years of American independence by recognizing the determination and competitive spirit of the nation’s youth.

During his visit to Ohio, it is evident that under President Trump and Republican leadership, the state is experiencing prosperity. Since reassuming office, President Trump has implemented significant tax reductions, decreased crime rates, promoted American energy, and attracted substantial private investments, prioritizing the needs of Ohio families, workers, seniors, and communities.

Historic Tax Relief for Ohioans

The Working Families Tax Cuts introduced by President Trump are providing substantial financial benefits to hardworking Ohio residents.

  • No Tax on Overtime: Over 1.2 million workers in Ohio benefited from $3.4 billion in No Tax on Overtime deductions.
  • No Tax on Social Security: More than 1.4 million senior citizens in Ohio paid no federal taxes on their benefits.
  • Increased Refunds: The average tax refund for Ohioans reached $3,308.
  • Rural Health Investments: Ohio secured more than $200 million in initial funding through the Rural Health Transformation Program under the Working Families Tax Cuts.
  • Economic Protection: The Working Families Tax Cuts safeguarded 208,000 jobs in Ohio, maintained $37 billion in state GDP, and protected $19 billion in wages for Ohioans.

Safer Communities

Under President Trump’s law and order agenda, violent crime rates are declining across Ohio.

  • Statewide homicides decreased by 16.1% last year.
  • In Columbus, homicides reached a 16-year low in 2025 and have continued to decline in 2026.
  • In Cincinnati, homicides dropped by more than 6% in 2025 and fell another 19% in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year.
  • In Cleveland, homicides decreased by 16%, rapes by 28%, auto thefts by 26%, and robberies by 24% in 2025. In the first half of 2026, rapes further declined by 8% and robberies by 21%.

Billions in New Private Investment

President Trump’s America First economic strategy is attracting significant private-sector investments in Ohio.

  • Aerospace manufacturer Electra committed $850 million to Springfield, creating 1,975 new jobs.
  • Swiss paper manufacturer Weidmann planned a $150 million investment in Middletown, generating numerous full-time positions.
  • Automaker Stellantis announced a $400 million investment in its Toledo Assembly Complex, adding over 900 jobs.
  • Corrugated packaging company Pratt Industries invested $5 billion in the U.S., with a focus on expanding in Ohio.
  • Property developer DAMAC announced a $20 billion investment in the U.S., with Ohio earmarked for projects.

Advancing Energy Dominance

  • The Trump Administration has established a public-private partnership with SoftBank Group and SB Energy to construct 10 gigawatts of new power generation in southern Ohio. This ensures corporations, rather than Ohio families, will bear the costs of supporting data center growth. SB Energy is contributing $40 million in community benefits as part of this agreement.

President Trump and Republicans are achieving tangible results for Ohio families, workers, seniors, and communities, reaffirming that America First means Ohio First.
