President Trump Denies Pardon Request from Diddy

It seems like Diddy’s hopes for a presidential pardon have been dashed, as President Trump has confirmed that he is not considering granting the request. According to The New York Times, Trump received a letter from Diddy seeking a pardon but has decided against it.

This news comes as a blow to Diddy, who had been telling inmates at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey that he would receive a pardon from Trump early in 2026. However, it seems that this is not the case, as Trump has made it clear that he will not be intervening in Diddy’s case.

Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence for his conviction on prostitution charges. Despite efforts from his legal team to secure a commutation or pardon, it appears that Trump’s decision is final.

In the wake of Diddy’s sentencing in October 2025, his legal team reached out to a high-ranking White House official in hopes of securing a pardon. Trump acknowledged Diddy’s request shortly after, but it seems that he has ultimately decided against it.

Sources close to the situation had previously indicated that Trump was considering a commutation for Diddy, but it appears that he has now made up his mind. Diddy’s camp has declined to comment on the situation.

As Diddy comes to terms with the reality of serving out his sentence, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the music mogul. Despite his high-profile status, it seems that even he is not immune to the consequences of his actions.
