Trump Blames Newsom for California Wildfires
After his decisive victory on election night, President Trump wasted no time in directing blame at California Governor Gavin Newsom for the devastating wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles. Trump even went as far as to give Newsom the nickname “Newscum.”
Trump took to Twitter to criticize Newsom’s handling of the wildfires, accusing him of refusing to sign a water restoration declaration that would have allowed much-needed water to flow into fire-affected areas. According to Trump, Newsom prioritized protecting a species of fish over the well-being of California residents.
“Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration, choosing to prioritize a worthless fish over the people of California,” Trump tweeted. “Now, the consequences of his incompetence are clear as California burns in a virtually apocalyptic manner.”
Trump also called out Newsom for failing to ensure water supply for fire hydrants and firefighting planes, labeling the situation as a “true disaster.” He went on to demand that Newsom allow clean water to flow into California to combat the wildfires.
In a scathing rebuke, Trump declared, “One of the most beautiful parts of the United States is burning down to the ground, and Gavin Newscum should resign. This is all his fault!!!”
