Prince Andrew Faces Scrutiny Over Epstein Connection
Prince Andrew’s association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has continued to haunt him, with U.S. lawmakers now seeking to speak with him as part of the ongoing investigation into Epstein’s crimes. The Duke of York, known for his jet-set lifestyle, is reportedly hesitant to set foot on U.S. soil amidst fears of facing intense scrutiny and backlash.
Andrew’s ties to Epstein have been a source of controversy for years, particularly following allegations by Epstein’s victim Virginia Giuffre that the prince sexually abused her when she was 17. Despite denying any wrongdoing, Andrew settled a civil lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022 for a reported $16 million without admitting liability.
A Washington insider told the Daily Mirror, “America isn’t safe for him, and with Epstein’s shadow still looming, it may never be again.” The insider also noted that if Prince Andrew were to return to the U.S., he would face a barrage of political, legal, and media scrutiny, a situation that Buckingham Palace is keenly aware of.
As the pressure mounts, Prince Andrew may opt to remain in Britain in hopes that the controversy will eventually fade away. However, the insider warned that the storm surrounding Andrew’s connection to Epstein is unlikely to dissipate anytime soon.
