Prince Harry in Turmoil Over Charity Collapse and Hostile Takeover
In March, Prince Harry made the difficult decision to resign from his charity, along with several trustees including his close friend Mark Dyer, after a public dispute with chair Sophie Chandauka, 46. The situation escalated when Chandauka accused the charity of fostering a toxic culture of racism, misogyny, and bullying, which prompted an investigation by the Charity Commission.
Following their investigation, the Charity Commission stated that they found “no evidence” of widespread bullying within the organization. However, they criticized both parties for allowing the conflict to escalate to such a public level. Despite this, the repercussions of the fallout are far from over.
According to sources close to Prince Harry, he believes that Chandauka used underhanded tactics to seize power within the charity and is unwilling to relinquish control despite alleged governance issues. It is suggested that she would rather see the charity crumble than admit any wrongdoing on her part.
The tension between the two camps has grown so bitter that many, including Prince Harry himself, fear that the charity may not survive the fallout. The prince is said to be privately predicting the demise of the organization due to the ongoing power struggle and lack of resolution.
