During a visit to London on March 12, 2026, with her husband, Prince William, Catherine openly discussed her lifestyle changes, particularly her reduced alcohol consumption. The couple visited Fabal Beerhall and various businesses around Borough Market and Southwark.
A source explained, “Catherine has become very cautious about anything potentially affecting her health, including alcohol. She is nearly teetotal now, not by choice but out of concern, as she fears even small amounts could have unwanted effects.”
The source continued: “She has privately shared her fear of facing another health issue, so her focus is on prevention and control. If that means nearly giving up alcohol, she is quite comfortable with that decision.”

Catherine also joined in making coffee at Change Please, telling William: “William, I made you a coffee!” and adding, “it’s not decaf” – to which William responded: “They can sell it!”

Later, the pair visited Humble Crumble, where Catherine impressed founder Kim Innes with her piping skills. They then donned RNLI overalls for a boat trip along the Thames to celebrate the 25th anniversary of RNLI lifeguards.
During the visit, William reflected on water safety, saying: “We don’t respect it enough sometimes.”
They also met members of the Bridge Watch charity, with Catherine remarking: “It’s about reaching out and building trusted relationships that they might not have elsewhere in their lives. It’s an incredible role to play.”
