Sidney Raymond Eudy, known in the professional wrestling world as Sid Vicious, passed away at the age of 63, as announced by his son on Monday. Gunnar Eudy shared on Facebook that his father had been battling cancer for several years.
Describing his father as a man of strength, kindness, and love, Gunnar expressed their family’s gratitude for the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Standing at 6 feet 9 inches, Eudy wrestled under various names such as Sid Justice and Sycho Sid, gaining fame during the WrestleMania era of the 1990s. He held the World Wrestling Federation championship twice and competed in other wrestling promotions like World Championship Wrestling and the United States Wrestling Association, facing off against legendary stars like Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker.
WWE, in a statement, hailed Eudy as one of the most imposing and terrifying competitors of his time, with a natural charisma that resonated with fans worldwide.

“Sid’s legacy in WWE as one of the toughest and most thrilling superstars endures, influencing wrestling rings worldwide,” the statement read.
Eudy, originally from West Memphis, Arkansas, resided in Tennessee and is survived by his wife Sabrina Estes Eudy, sons Frank and Gunnar, and grandchildren.
