Production Starts on Season 2 of Prime Video Aussie Series

Production Starts on Season 2 of Prime Video Aussie Series

Production has officially kicked off in Darwin, Northern Territory for the highly anticipated second season of the Australian comedy series “Deadloch” on Prime Video. The filming will eventually move to Brisbane, Queensland, adding another dimension to the show’s setting.

The first season of “Deadloch” introduced viewers to two contrasting female detectives, Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe, who joined forces to solve a murder in Tasmania. Season 2 sees the return of Kate Box and Madeleine Sami in their roles as the dynamic detective duo. Joining them are a stellar cast including Steve Bisley, Shari Sebbens, Jean Tong, Genevieve Morris, Byron Coll, Nikki Britton, Anthony J Sharpe, and many more.

Created and written by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, who also serve as executive producers, “Deadloch” Season 2 promises to deliver more mystery, humor, and intrigue. The series is produced by Guesswork Television, OK Great Productions, and Amazon MGM Studios, with Beck Cole and Gracie Otto directing. The production has received support from Screen Territory and Screen Queensland, showcasing the collaborative effort to bring this captivating series to life.

In other entertainment news, Singapore’s renowned filmmaker Jack Neo is gearing up for his latest project, “AI Ping Cai Hui Ying,” a comedy film centered around artificial intelligence and its impact on everyday people. With a budget of S$2.5 million, Neo aims to release the film in time for the Chinese New Year holidays in late January 2025, offering a fresh and innovative take on the comedy genre.

Meanwhile, international star Akon is set to dazzle fans in Malaysia and Singapore with his “Akon The Superfan Tour Live” concert. Organized by Jeeharris Entertainment, founded by Malaysian singer and actor Harris Baba, the concerts promise to be unforgettable experiences for music enthusiasts in the region.
