The year 2025 has brought about a significant change in the lifestyle of urban Indians. With the rise of quick-commerce in the country, waiting for deliveries or stepping out of their homes has become a thing of the past for many. Thanks to various startups, almost everything from food and groceries to smartphones and gaming consoles can now be ordered and delivered within minutes through mobile apps.
One such startup making waves in this space is Pronto, based out of New Delhi. Initially valued at $12.5 million after a $2 million seed round in May, Pronto has now tripled its valuation to $45 million in less than 90 days. The company has recently secured an $11 million Series A funding round co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital, with existing investor Bain Capital Ventures also participating.
The rapid growth of Pronto can be attributed to its solid traction in the market. The startup has reported a nearly five-fold increase in revenue since coming out of stealth mode just three months ago. With daily bookings in the four-digit range and expected annual recurring revenue between $750,000 to $1.5 million, Pronto is quickly becoming a key player in the quick-commerce sector.
Founder and CEO Anjali Sardana credits the company’s momentum and rapid scaling for attracting investors so quickly. General Catalyst partner Rahul Garg praised Sardana for her vision and execution, highlighting her impressive achievements despite her young age and background in the U.S.
Pronto is not the only player in the market connecting domestic workers with consumers. Lightspeed Venture Partners has backed Snabbit, while Urban Company, set to go public soon, offers similar services. Garg sees a massive opportunity in India’s household services market, with millions of potential customers and a large workforce that could tap into a $35 billion wage pool.
Looking ahead, Pronto has ambitious expansion plans. The startup currently operates six hubs in Gurugram, serving customers within a 1.5-mile radius. By strategically locating hubs at intersections, Pronto aims to reach more customers efficiently. The company plans to expand within Gurugram and enter new markets like Mumbai and Bengaluru in the next 12-18 months.
With a team of 33 employees and 750 workers on its platform, Pronto is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for quick and convenient home services in India’s bustling urban centers. The company’s success story is a testament to the changing landscape of urban living in the country, where convenience and speed are becoming the norm in everyday life.
