Actor Peter Greene, known for his roles as villains and criminals in Hollywood films, was tragically found dead in his New York apartment at the age of 60. His manager, Gregg Edwards, confirmed the news, stating that Greene was discovered in his Lower East Side residence.
One of Greene’s most iconic roles was as the menacing security guard Zed in Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction.” His portrayal of the sadistic character left a lasting impression on audiences. In addition to this role, Greene also portrayed the villain Dorian Tyrell in the Jim Carrey movie “The Mask” in the same year.
Edwards spoke fondly of Greene, highlighting his ability to convincingly play villains on screen while also possessing a compassionate and kind-hearted nature off-screen. He described Greene as having a “heart as big as gold.”
Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Greene’s acting career took off after his performance in the indie film “Laws of Gravity” in 1992. He gained further recognition when he was cast as the lead in Lodge Kerrigan’s “Clean Shaven,” which caught the attention of Quentin Tarantino.
Throughout his career, Greene appeared in nearly 100 films and TV shows, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He had recurring roles in series such as “For Life” and “The Black Donnellys,” as well as guest appearances in popular shows like “Chicago P.D.,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “Justified,” and “Life on Mars.”
