Canadian politician Charlie Angus strongly criticized Donald Trump’s recent attacks on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Angus, a member of the New Democratic Party in Canada, did not hold back in his condemnation of Trump’s behavior. He called out Trump for labeling Zelenskyy a dictator, a move that shocked European allies and even drew pushback from some Republicans. In an interview with Ben Meiselas of the MeidasTouch Network, Angus expressed his outrage at Trump’s actions, pointing out the stark contrast between Zelenskyy’s leadership and Trump’s controversial past.

Angus went on to slam Trump’s close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, referring to Putin as a “gangster.” He recounted a conversation with an Eastern European colleague who questioned whether Trump, with his history of divisive rhetoric, could break the resilience of the Ukrainian people.

In a stern warning, Angus emphasized the potential damage Trump could inflict on democracy, not just in the United States but worldwide. He criticized Trump’s efforts to support his “criminal buddy” Putin, suggesting that the world may need to treat America with the same caution as it does Putin’s Russia.
