Two cousins from Queens, engaged in a conflict over the sale of a property, were reportedly killed in a suspected murder-suicide, according to police sources and family members.
Authorities arrived at a residence on 116th Road in Jamaica around midnight on Friday after receiving reports of gunfire and discovered the bodies of the 37-year-old and 41-year-old.
Both men, who family members noted had shared their childhood, were found with gunshot wounds to the head, as per available sources.
âThe issue stemmed from the sale of the house, specifically a disagreement regarding how the proceeds would be shared,â shared a 62-year-old uncle residing in the basement of the home with The Post.
The younger cousin, known as Prince, was declared dead at the scene, while his older cousin Antoine later died from his injuries at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, according to law enforcement and family accounts.
Family members stated that Prince had gone to assist Antoine with the sale of his house.
Antoine had authorized Prince to manage the sale of the property due to his experience in real estate, but conflicts arose between the cousins over the agreement.
