Governor JB Pritzker (D-IL) appears to have a unique impact on Donald Trump. Perhaps it’s Pritzker’s tenacity and his commitment to safeguard his state that unsettles Trump.
As the Trump administration gears up to deploy Texas National Guard troops into Chicago, Gov. Pritzker joined Rachel Maddow on MSNBC to articulate his concerns about the unfolding situation in Illinois, particularly regarding a potential military presence at polling locations.
Maddow inquired about Pritzker’s perspective on the trajectory of these actions, to which the governor replied:
My apprehension is that next year, we could see these troops stationed at polling sites, ostensibly to ensure the integrity of the vote.
Trump understands that without these sorts of questionable maneuvers and constitutional infractions, he risks losing control of Congress. Should he face this defeat, his immediate response may echo back to 2020, with military incursions to seize ballot boxes and manipulate vote counting under the guise of addressing fraud.
