Exciting News: Production of “Ransom Canyon” Season 2 Underway

The highly anticipated Season 2 of “Ransom Canyon” has officially commenced production. In an exciting development, the talented Patricia Clarkson has been cast in a guest role, adding a noteworthy presence to the ensemble.

Clarkson will portray Claire O’Grady, the mother of Minka Kelly’s character, Quinn. The series is led by Josh Duhamel and Kelly, featuring a strong supporting cast that includes Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, and Casey W. Johnson. The recurring cast features notable talents such as Ben Robson, Heidi Engerman, Tatanka Means, Justin Johnson Cortez, Kenny Miller, Philip Winchester, Jennifer Ens, Brett Cullen, and Niko Guardado.

In exciting news for fans, Johnson has been elevated to a series regular for the upcoming season. However, it’s worth noting that Season 1 stars Eoin Macken and Andrew Liner will not return for this new chapter.

Series creator and showrunner April Blair expressed her enthusiasm about returning for another season, stating, “We’re thrilled to be back and can’t wait to turn up the steam, the drama… and the romance that ‘Ransom’ fans have grown to love.”

Filming for “Ransom Canyon” is taking place at Netflix Studios located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The show debuted in April and quickly garnered attention, managing to secure a spot in the Global Top 10 TV (English) chart for four consecutive weeks.

The official synopsis for Season 2 highlights that “The future of Ransom Canyon hangs in the balance as ranching dynasties continue to vie for power, and new faces arrive, threatening the lives and loves of this quaint, western town.”

Developed by Blair, she serves as both executive producer and showrunner alongside Dan Angel and Bradley Gardner. Both Duhamel and Kelly are also among the executive producers, in addition to their starring roles in the series.
