Pat McAfee Explains His Support for Randy Orton on WWE SmackDown
Thanks for the submission!
During WWE SmackDown, a confrontation between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes took place. Rhodes expressed his discontent with Orton’s new path, when suddenly, Pat McAfee intervened with a low blow to Rhodes. This led to a systematic dismantling of Rhodes, a challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Orton used a steel chair to attack Rhodes while McAfee criticized the WWE product on the microphone.
After the assault on Cody Rhodes at the beginning of the show, McAfee and Orton quickly exited. As they left, McAfee explained his actions, stating that it was time to “save the business” and that Orton was the right person to accomplish this.
“Mission accomplished I think. Yeah man. You got it man. Sometimes you got to remind people, that they are in the GOAT conversation, and about to take the GOAT spot, to save the business.”
In a caption, McAfee disclosed his rationale for aligning with Orton: “save the business.” Additionally, he vowed to retire from WWE and wrestling entirely if Orton were to lose.
“WE’RE OFFICIALLY ON THE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA… TO SAVE THE BUSINESS #WrestleMania”
The future of McAfee and Orton’s partnership remains uncertain.
