Realme has officially unveiled its latest smartphones, the Realme GT 7 and GT 7T, for the global market. The Chinese brand made a quiet return to the UK earlier this year after exiting the market in early 2024. The new GT 7 series is positioned as “flagship killers” by the company, targeting the almost-flagship segment of the market.
The Realme GT 7 is powered by a Dimensity 9400e processor and features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. With up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, the phone is competing in the same space as the Honor 400 Pro and OnePlus 13R. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera. The standout features of the GT 7 include IP69 certification for dust and water resistance, a large 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging, and an IceSense cooling system to keep the phone cool during heavy usage. There will also be a limited Dream Edition with an Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team livery.
On the other hand, the Realme GT 7T is a slightly toned-down version of the GT 7. It features a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and is powered by a Dimensity 8400-Max processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens, with no telephoto lens. Like the GT 7, the GT 7T also offers IP69 dust and water resistance, a 7,000mAh battery, and 120W wired charging.
Both phones are promised to receive four years of OS updates and six years of security patches, putting Realme in line with other Android manufacturers. The pricing for the Realme GT 7 starts from €749.99, with the Dream Edition priced at €899.99. The Realme GT 7T starts at €649.99.
However, there is a potential catch for customers in the UK as it is unclear whether these phones will be available in the region. Realme’s launch plans for the GT 7 series remain unclear, leaving customers wondering about the availability of these new devices. As more information becomes available, we will update this story with any news on Realme’s wider rollout plans for the GT 7 series.
