Reba McEntire Opens Up About Heartbreak and Finding Strength in Faith
Reba McEntire, the iconic country singer, has experienced her fair share of heartbreak and challenges in recent years. When her ex-husband Narvel Blackstock divorced her, it was a crushing blow for McEntire. A close friend revealed, “She thought they’d be married forever.”
In 2020, tragedy struck again when McEntire’s beloved mother, Jacqueline Smith, passed away. The loss was so devastating that McEntire contemplated leaving the music business altogether. She shared, “I didn’t want to sing anymore. I always sang for Mama. She was my inspiration, my teacher, and my biggest cheerleader.”
Despite the overwhelming grief, McEntire found solace in her faith. She credits God with giving her the strength to carry on.
