Reese Cooper Returns to Paris with Stunning Namesake Collection
It’s a delight to see Reese Cooper back in Paris, showcasing his latest namesake collection along with a lookbook that he personally shot. The location he chose for the shoot is nothing short of breathtaking, situated three and a half hours north of Los Angeles. The picturesque setting resembles a scene from a California spin on a Renaissance painting, capturing the essence of Cooper’s design inspiration for the season.
During a showroom event in the Marais, Cooper revealed that his eponymous line had taken a back seat to the launch of RCOS, a sub-label he developed in collaboration with Pacsun. While both collections are distinct entities, Cooper humorously referred to them as the two halves of his creative brain. With both lines now making their mark in the fashion world, it’s evident how the rugged outdoor aesthetics have influenced RCOS, allowing Reese Cooper to explore a more upscale utilitarian style.
The latest collection features a range of pieces, from drawstring trench coats and waterproof trousers to cargo pants and oversized bombers in woven houndstooth. Military-inspired cuts are reimagined with a contemporary twist, such as a double-breasted blazer with adjustable bungee cording. The color palette of deep navy, bleached tones, and bold burnt orange adds a dynamic autumnal energy to the collection.
Reflecting on the design process, Cooper shared, “Throughout all the garments, especially the coats and blazers, there is the design philosophy of an abstraction of outdoor apparel.” This abstract approach sets his label apart from traditional outdoor and gorpcore styles, evident in the innovative trail boots featured in the collection. As Cooper evolves both personally and professionally, his designs are also maturing, resonating with a more refined aesthetic.
As he plans for future seasons, this collection reaffirms Reese Cooper’s position in the fashion industry. With a renewed focus on craftsmanship, innovation, and storytelling, Cooper’s return to Paris has solidified his presence on the global fashion map.
