Recent reports suggest that Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary under President Joe Biden, has taken a significant step by allegedly departing from the Democratic Party and authoring a book that critiques the ‘dysfunctional’ Biden administration.
This newfound media attention has unearthed some rather unflattering details about her tenure. Notably, it appears she collaborated with a publicist who was copied on official government correspondence. Additionally, there are whispers that Jean-Pierre harbored ambitions of becoming a co-host on The View.
Just a few weeks ago, she made a guest appearance on the program, sharing light-hearted banter with Joy Behar and the other hosts, seemingly enjoying her time in the spotlight.
According to Politico (with our emphasis):
A publicist based in New York, Gilda Squire, worked informally with Jean-Pierre during her time in the White House and was included in official emails until concerns were raised by staffers, as noted by a former official. Squire has an extensive background in public relations, having previously served as publicity director for HarperCollins and worked with Penguin Putnam Publishing, according to her LinkedIn profile. Furthermore, Jean-Pierre was featured in several in-depth profiles in lifestyle magazines, such as Vogue and Women’s Health, and even traveled to New York specifically for an appearance on The View.
Former officials have indicated that Jean-Pierre aimed for a post-White House role as a co-host on the show, emulating her predecessor, Jen Psaki, who secured an anchor position at MSNBC after leaving her role after just over a year.
Jesse Watters reported that KJP expressed her interest in joining The View, but to her dismay, the show never returned her call. OOF.
YIKES Karine Jean-Pierre tried to get a job on The View and she never received a call back.
The queen of DEI hires wasn’t even wanted by fellow DEI hires.

It appears Jean-Pierre may face an uphill battle in the near future, especially if she’s deemed too controversial even for The View. It’s hardly surprising she’s seeking to capitalize on her experiences with a book.
