Krysten Ritter Joins “Dexter: Resurrection” as Guest Star
Krysten Ritter, known for her roles in “Jessica Jones” and “Love & Death,” has been announced as a guest star in the upcoming series “Dexter: Resurrection.” Ritter will portray a character named Mia, although further details about her role have not been revealed.
Production for the sequel to the hit series “Dexter” began in January in New York, with the show set to premiere on Paramount+ With Showtime during the summer.
The highly-anticipated series sees the return of Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, alongside a talented cast including Uma Thurman, David Zayas, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, James Remar, and Peter Dinklage.
“Dexter: Resurrection” is distinct from “Dexter: Original Sin,” a prequel series following a young Dexter as he embarks on his journey from student to serial killer. The prequel, starring Patrick Gibson, premiered on Paramount+ With Showtime in 2024.
As a continuation of the original series, “Dexter: Resurrection” is part of a growing franchise that includes the 2021 series “Dexter: New Blood.” Executive produced by Clyde Phillips, the show will feature Hall reprising his iconic role as Dexter, with Monica Raymund and Marcos Siega taking on directing duties.
