This decision to replace all 17 members with his own picks was described as “a clean sweep” by President Trump’s Health Secretary in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece.
RFK Jr. emphasized the need for a fresh start to restore public confidence in vaccine science, stating that without this action, new members could not be appointed until 2028. The newly appointed committee is set to meet in Atlanta in two weeks’ time, although the specific members have not been disclosed.
