Ricochet Sets Sights on AEW International Championship
After his recent loss at AEW Revolution, Ricochet has wasted no time in setting his sights on a new goal within the promotion. The high-flying wrestler, also known as the One and Only, is determined to add another major title to his collection, and his campaign will kick off this weekend.
At Revolution, Ricochet faced off against Swerve Strickland in a highly anticipated rematch. Unfortunately for Ricochet, Strickland emerged victorious, earning his retribution and securing a shot at the world title in the process.
Despite the setback, Ricochet has quickly turned his attention to the AEW International Championship. He has been announced as a participant in the Eliminator Tournament, which will determine the challenger for Kenny Omega’s title at AEW Dynasty next month.
Ricochet’s first challenge in the tournament will come this weekend on Collision, where he is scheduled to face off against the legendary Katsuyori Shibata. In a bold move, Ricochet has already called out Shibata, offering him a way out from a potential beating by simply not showing up for their match.
In addition to Ricochet and Shibata, six other competitors will be vying for the opportunity to challenge Omega at AEW Dynasty. Tonight, two matches in the tournament will take place, with a wildcard entry expected to make a surprise appearance.
As Ricochet prepares to embark on his quest for the AEW International Championship, fans can expect high-flying action and intense competition in the Eliminator Tournament. Will the One and Only emerge victorious and claim the title? Only time will tell.
Stay tuned for more updates on Ricochet’s journey in AEW as he pursues his next major goal in the promotion.
