RIGHT ON CUE: Any And All Criticism of Zohran Mamdani is Suddenly Islamophobic |

In the latest twist of political maneuvering, Democrats and their media allies have unearthed a familiar tactic to shield Zohran Mamdani—a self-identified socialist and Muslim candidate—from scrutiny. Spoiler alert: it’s not exactly groundbreaking.

From this point forward, any critique levied against Mamdani will be branded as Islamophobia.

Sound familiar? This playbook was on full display during Barack Obama’s presidency, where any expression of dissent was often quickly labeled as racism.

It’s the same old script, just updated for a new cast.

As reported by Axios:

Islamophobic Backlash Against Zohran Mamdani Gains Momentum

After Zohran Mamdani’s surprising victory in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary, right-wing influencers erupted with a barrage of Islamophobic and racist remarks directed at the 33-year-old candidate.

Why it’s significant: If elected, Mamdani would make history as New York’s first Muslim mayor. Born in Uganda to Indian ancestry, he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2018 and is quickly being turned into a figure of fear for the MAGA crowd—largely due to his religion and political stance.

– In the lead-up to the election, police were looking into threats of hate against Mamdani, who was poised to defeat former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

– Although he has faced backlash for his pro-Palestinian activism, Mamdani has consistently condemned antisemitism and expressed his commitment to serve all New Yorkers.

What Mamdani expressed: “It’s disheartening to see the current state of politics, where this reaction is both predictable and disappointing,” he shared in an interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki.

It’s a scenario that couldn’t be more anticipated.

Right on cue!!

Criticism of Mamdani’s potential leadership of New York City is labeled Islamophobic, as it stems from concerns over the ideologies he represents—ideologies rooted in the same failed principles of his country of origin. pic.twitter.com/oyrp7AQcuq

David Strom of Hot Air articulates this perspective:

Critics argue that Mamdani openly aligns himself with Islamist views, appealing to Muslim voters by emphasizing his heritage. It’s entirely rational to scrutinize this alignment without being labeled Islamophobic. Americans are entitled to express concerns about the cultural landscape of their cities and the implications of transforming New York into an environment that mirrors places like Mecca or Tehran.

Let’s not forget, he isn’t exactly advocating for a peaceful coexistence on a global scale, is he?

Anyone who genuinely believes that “globalize the intifada” is a valid call for Palestinian rights is either misleading or misinformed.

Zohran Mamdani fits that description and should not be considered for the mayoralty of New York City or any other place.pic.twitter.com/qXSs8AQAon

Brace yourselves for a media blitz in Mamdani’s favor that rivals the fervor seen during Obama’s 2008 campaign.
