Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have officially expanded their family, joyously announcing the arrival of their third child.
On September 24, Rihanna, 37, took to Instagram to introduce their newborn daughter, named “Rocki Irish Mayers,” who graced them with her presence on September 13.
Earlier this year, Rihanna confirmed their growing family at the Met Gala, revealing that she and Rocky, 36, were expecting another child. This new addition joins their two sons, RZA, aged 3, and Riot, aged 2.
While Rihanna and Rocky kept the baby’s gender a secret prior to her birth, both parents expressed their desire for a daughter.
“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” Rocky shared in a recent interview with Elle. He reminisced, “The first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we left it a mystery. This time, we wanted to follow a surprise.”
Rocky added, “I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy feels drastically different. I need that little princess in my life.”
The couple, together since 2019, have openly discussed their future and next milestones.
According to a source cited by Us Weekly, “[They] have talked about getting married eventually. They both view each other as the one to share their lives with.”
In the same Elle profile, Rocky whimsically addressed rumors surrounding a possible secret wedding.
“How do you know I’m not already married?” he teased. “I’m still not confirming anything.”
However, Rocky gave insights into their family dynamics leading up to their newborn’s arrival.
“We try not to mix work discussions with home life; it’s all about family when we step through that door,” he explained. “At home, it’s about connecting with each other and enjoying our family time.”
Rihanna, too, has been candid about her transformative journey into motherhood, stating, “It’s everything. You can’t fathom life beforehand, which is the wildest thing,” she told British Vogue in 2023. “You try to remember the past, and while photos exist as reminders, mentally, everything changes. It’s not about that anymore; what matters is here and now.”
