Rober De Niro Sparks Family Feud Over Inheritance Plans
The renowned actor, Robert De Niro, known for his role in Dirty Grandpa, has caused quite a stir within his family with his recent decision to leave a significant portion of his $500 million fortune to his 22-month-old daughter, Gia, upon his passing. This move has not been well-received by his adult children, who are now vying for an equal share of the inheritance.
“Bob’s announcement about his intentions to provide Gia with a substantial inheritance has created tension within the family,” a source revealed.
De Niro, an Oscar-winning actor, has a diverse family with children from different relationships. He shares daughter Drena, 53, and son Raphael, 47, with his first wife Diahnne Abbott, twin sons Julian and Aaron, 28, with former girlfriend Toukie Smith, and son Elliot, 26, and daughter Helen Grace, 13, with his second wife, Grace Hightower.
“Bob acknowledges that Gia may not have the opportunity to have him present in her life as she grows up, and he wants to ensure that she is financially secure,” the insider disclosed.
“He believes that since Gia did not choose to be born to an older father, it is his responsibility to provide for her future by giving her a larger portion of his estate.”
