Rod Wave is firmly rejecting all the accusations from Grizzly Touring in their $27 million lawsuit, responding with his own legal action while rolling out a NEW TOUR!
The “SoulFly” artist submitted fresh legal documents in a Florida court on Monday and shared a statement with TMZ Hip Hop, declaring … “Rod Wave remains dedicated to offering top-notch performances that his supporters expect and deserve. Grizzly Touring’s lawsuit is unfounded and an unfortunate extension of previous unsuccessful attempts to bind Rod Wave to an exclusive deal.”
The statement elaborates … “Grizzly Touring must take responsibility for its own mistakes. If they hadn’t mismanaged the Last Lap tour, including frequently altering the schedule and last-minute concert cancellations, the tour would have finished as planned.”
Grizzly Touring claims it is owed approximately $27 million in unrecouped advances, arguing that Wave did not fulfill numerous scheduled performance obligations from 2023’s “Last Lap” tour.
On the other hand, Rod asserts that he successfully completed the initial leg of the tour but had to cancel subsequent shows due to Grizzly’s inadequate scheduling that caused technical difficulties, leading to poor-quality performances.
Rod and his Hit House Entertainment are seeking a court ruling declaring that the advances received cannot be recovered due to Grizzly’s violations of their agreement, and they want the judge to nullify the exclusivity clauses in their contract so he can independently book shows.
The Florida rapper is focusing on the future — he has released a new single titled “Leavin” in conjunction with the announcement of “The Redemption Experience” tour, which is set to start in December covering seven cities.
