HBO’s hit high school drama “Euphoria” has officially kicked off production for its highly anticipated Season 3, welcoming a new lineup of fresh faces to the cast. Grammy-winning artist Rosalía, Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch, and “A Different World” star Kadeem Hardison are among the new additions announced by HBO. Joining them are Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.
The core cast members are set to return, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow. Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry have been promoted to series regulars, while Colman Domingo will make a guest appearance.
However, some familiar faces will be missing from the upcoming season. Nika King, Austin Abrams, and Algee Smith are not listed as returning cast members. Additionally, Storm Reid confirmed that her character, Rue’s sister Gia, will not be featured in the new episodes. Barbie Ferreira, who portrayed Kat, exited the series in August 2022.
The third season of “Euphoria” will pick up years after the events of Season 2, moving the characters beyond their high school days. The previous season premiered in January 2022 and quickly became one of HBO’s most-watched shows, following closely behind “Game of Thrones.”
Created, written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson, “Euphoria” has garnered critical acclaim, receiving 25 Emmy nominations and winning nine awards.
Fans can expect an exciting new chapter in the lives of their favorite characters as “Euphoria” Season 3 takes them on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming season as production continues to unfold.
