Rosie O’Donnell expressed her lack of surprise at President Trump’s threat to revoke her US citizenship, citing enduring “20 years of abuse” from him as the reason.
The former talk show host took to social media to address the “absurd” attack after Trump labeled her a “threat to humanity” in a post on his platform, sparking a social media feud.
“I’m safe here in Ireland. I’m out of the reach of the tangerine Mussolini,” O’Donnell stated in a nearly 10-minute TikTok video discussing her ongoing feud with Trump.
O’Donnell, who moved to Ireland with her child in response to Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election, described the move as a “necessity” to protect her family from the pain she anticipated with Trump’s actions.
She remained unfazed by Trump’s warning, stating, “Can’t take away someone’s citizenship, they have to renounce it themselves in the constitution, so, you know, I’m not that worried.”
O’Donnell emphasized her commitment to her American citizenship, stating she would never renounce it, even as she awaited her Irish citizenship for dual citizenship.
