A viral video circulating on social media captured a dramatic moment at Walt Disney World in Florida, where a staff member bravely intervened to prevent a prop boulder from hitting the audience during the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show.
The footage, shared on TikTok and Reddit, shows the boulder unexpectedly rolling towards the crowd after a special effects stunt at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
A staff member quickly stepped in front of the prop to stop it, but was knocked down in the process as he tried to absorb the impact, as seen in the video.
Other staff members rushed to assist and prevent the boulder from reaching the audience, causing a brief moment of panic among spectators.
Multiple angles of the incident, which reportedly took place on a Tuesday afternoon, have been shared by audience members on social media platforms.
Walt Disney World has not yet responded to inquiries about the incident and the condition of the staff member involved.
One Reddit user mentioned, “The cast member was able to walk but was bleeding on the head,” providing some insight into the aftermath of the incident.
Reports indicate a similar mishap took place at the same show last year, where a cast member was struck by a boulder during a stunt, prompting immediate assistance from staff.
The exact timing of the previous incident remains unknown.
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show, inspired by the iconic film “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” features thrilling stunts and explosive effects performed by fictional characters Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood.
