Samsung has recently made some bold claims about its upcoming full-sized foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The company is gearing up to release a premium foldable smartphone that promises to offer an ‘Ultra’ experience.

In a recent blog post, Samsung hinted at the possibility of naming its next premium foldable device the Samsung Galaxy Fold Ultra. The company seems determined to elevate the foldable smartphone experience to the next level.

The latest blog post from Samsung outlines some of the key features that will make the Galaxy Z Fold 7 stand out in the market. Among these features is the promise of a device that is thin, light, and built to last.

Samsung is touting the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as the thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable phone yet. This claim suggests that Samsung is not only aiming to surpass its own previous foldable models but also outshine its competitors in terms of slimness and weight.

If Samsung’s claims hold true, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 would be thinner than the Oppo Find N5, which measures 4.2mm when open and 8.9mm when closed. This would mark a significant improvement over the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, which measures 5.6mm when open and 12.1mm when closed.

Additionally, Samsung is aiming to make the Galaxy Z Fold 7 even lighter than the 219g Vivo X Fold 3. This would be quite an achievement considering that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 weighs 239g. Even the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, a non-foldable device, weighs 218g.

While Samsung’s rivals may have limited availability, the company is confident in the quality and durability of its next-generation foldable device. Samsung promises that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be meticulously crafted and built to last, although the specifics of durability remain to be seen.

With its sleek design, lightweight construction, and promise of durability, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is set to redefine the foldable smartphone experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated device from Samsung.
