Hunter Biden’s legal woes began to escalate in October 2018 when he purchased a .38-caliber handgun from a gun store in Wilmington, Delaware. Despite claiming on a US government form that he was not using drugs at the time of the purchase, it was later revealed that Hunter was still battling his addiction to crack cocaine.

An investigation was triggered after Hallie Biden, Hunter’s sister-in-law, disposed of the firearm in a trash can outside a supermarket near her residence. This act raised red flags and led to a deeper probe into Hunter’s actions.

On June 11, 2024, Hunter Biden was convicted on three federal gun charges after being indicted in September 2023. The charges included making a false statement in the purchase of a firearm, providing false information required by a federal firearm licensed dealer, and possessing a firearm while being an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.

This legal debacle has further tarnished Hunter Biden’s already controversial reputation and has put him under increased scrutiny. The implications of these charges could have far-reaching consequences for Hunter and his family.

As the saga unfolds, it remains to be seen how Hunter Biden will navigate these legal challenges and what the future holds for him. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
