Scheana Shay Unfollows James Kennedy Amid Feud
After the conclusion of season 11 of Vanderpump Rules in 2024, the cast members went their separate ways. However, Scheana Shay found herself embroiled in drama with her former costar, James Kennedy.
In March 2025, Kennedy posted a photo with Andrew and Tristan Tate, individuals who have been accused of heinous crimes. In response, Shay made the decision to unfollow the DJ on social media. While some may have seen this as a reactionary move, Shay revealed that she had actually been contemplating unfollowing Kennedy since December 2024.
During that time, Kennedy was arrested for domestic violence following a dispute with his then-girlfriend, Ally Lewber, over his drinking habits. Despite the lack of charges being filed against him, Shay was privy to the details of the incident. She shared on her podcast, Scheananigans, that she had considered unfollowing Kennedy back then but decided to wait until Lewber was ready to do the same.
Shay made it clear that her decision to unfollow Kennedy was not taken lightly. She stated, “He is on mute. I’m not liking his s—. I’m not commenting on his s– I don’t want to see any of it.” It was only after Lewber unfollowed Kennedy that Shay followed suit, wanting to avoid any perception of supporting him.
