Scott Hoying has discovered his biggest admirer in his husband Mark Manio, who has inspired Hoying for almost ten years since they first met at a gathering in 2017.
The Pentatonix vocalist was enchanted when he encountered Manio at a friendâs birthday celebration in Los Angeles. Following their initial encounter, they quickly became a couple, and after five years of relationship bliss, they got engaged in April 2022.
âI am so thankful that I decided to pop by that birthday party five years ago. Itâs truly incredible how meeting someone can change your lifeâs course in an instant,â Hoying expressed in a September 2022 Instagram post dedicated to his then-fiancĂ©. âYou have added so much to my life, far beyond what words can express, and I wish my 15-year-old self, who was still in the closet, could know about youâhe would have felt so relieved. I love you immensely!đ€
Throughout their time together, Hoying has relied on Manio for encouragement, and they have also collaborated creatively.
Manio collaborated on Pentatonixâs original Christmas single, âThank You,â composed in 2020, co-authored several childrenâs books alongside his husband, and when Hoying joined the cast of Dancing With the Stars for its 34th season in the fall of 2025, Manio became a regular presence in the dance studio.
