Sean Combs’ Mother Slams Netflix Documentary for Distorting Family Life

In a statement released on Saturday, December 6, Janice Combs, the 80-year-old mother of Sean Combs, popularly known as Diddy, spoke out against Netflix’s portrayal of her son’s early family life in the documentary “Sean Combs: The Reckoning.” She accused the project of containing distortions that aim to mislead viewers and damage their reputation.

Janice specifically addressed a scene in the documentary featuring former Bad Boy executive Kirk Burrows, who alleged that Diddy had slapped his mother after the tragic 1991 City College event. Disputing the claim, Janice stated, “The allegations made by Mr. Kirk Burrows that my son slapped me during our conversation following the City College events on December 28, 1991, are inaccurate and completely false.”

Describing the City College tragedy as a “very sad day for all of us,” Janice criticized Kirk for exploiting the incident for personal gain. She accused him of using fake narratives to further his own agenda of gaining control over Bad Boy Records. Janice condemned his actions as “wrong, outrageous, and deeply offensive.”

Janice’s statement shed light on the inaccuracies presented in the Netflix documentary, emphasizing the importance of setting the record straight and correcting false narratives.
