Selena Gomez expressed her dreams of motherhood following a touching scene in the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series.

Fans were treated to an exciting reveal when the second season of the sequel series premiered on Disney+ on October 8, showcasing that her character, Alex Russo, is now the mother of Billie Russo (Janice LeAnn Brown) in the emotional two-part finale.
Gomez, who is 33 years old, shared that the storyline resonated with her more profoundly after stepping back into her character.
“Alex Russo is a mommy,” she posted, with a teary-eyed emoji on her Instagram Stories on October 9, alongside a snippet of an emotional moment. “Hopefully one day that’ll be me.”
Gomez also shared a clip where she interacted with her co-star about their roles.
“We are mother and daughter,” Gomez mentioned in a related interview on Disney Channel’s YouTube channel. “I’m truly thankful for this wonderful Janice child,” she laughed.
“It was very emotional for both of us after the table read,” remarked Brown, who is 15. “We were just puddles,” Gomez added, mimicking tears rolling down their faces, and stated, “It’s genuinely been such a wonderful journey. It’s delightful to see us pass the baton to the next generation.”
Filming the sequel of the beloved show, which aired from 2007 to 2012, not only evoked nostalgia but also marked a significant personal milestone for Gomez as she recently tied the knot with her husband, Benny Blanco, on September 27.

Among the star-studded attendees were Gomez’s former Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars, including Jennifer Stone, David DeLuise, and Maria Canals-Barrera.
According to an exclusive report from Us Weekly, Gomez’s best friend Taylor Swift was also present, delivering a heartfelt speech. “She reminisced about seeing Selena go through hard times, mentioning her past heartbreaks, and expressed her happiness for Selena having found Benny,” the insider shared, noting Swift, 35, remarked how it is a best friend’s dream to see her best friend so content.
On her special day, Gomez donned three bespoke Ralph Lauren gowns and exquisite Tiffany & Co. earrings adorned with 12 carats of diamonds, enhancing her look for the occasion.
The first gown, which featured in her wedding announcement, was crafted from “double-faced” silk satin with a delicate macramé collar, as described by the designer. She then switched into a timeless halterneck piece with a draped bodice featuring 300 intricately shaped lace flowers for the ceremony.
Her third and final outfit was a chic shorter design, ideal for dancing, featuring “stitched panels of cotton, silk, and linen voiles for a lightweight, elegant silhouette complemented by a tulle underskirt for added volume and movement.”
Blanco, looking dapper, sported a tailored ensemble from Ralph Lauren’s Purple Label, complete with a silk satin bow tie and velvet slippers.
