Benny Blanco has shared insights into his wife Selena Gomez‘s unique eating preferences.
During a recent recording of Gwyneth Paltrowâs âGoopâ podcast, Blanco, 38, mentioned that Gomez, 33, maintains a diet reminiscent of a child’s.
According to the Daily Mail, Blanco stated that Gomez frequently consumes foods that are not beneficial for her diet and tends to avoid fruits and vegetables.
Blanco remarked, âThis morning, I found her eating Jack in the Box at 6:45 AM,â and added that the only healthy meals Gomez is willing to try are from Paltrowâs Goop Kitchen takeout. He humorously noted, âShe will eat the s*** out of Goop.â
Gomez has a fondness for pickles, which she discussed on Blancoâs âFriends Keep Secretsâ podcast in March.
âWhat is your favorite thing to eat in the world? Whatâs your favorite snack you eat every single night thatâs salty?â Blanco asked, offering a pickle snack.
Together since 2023, Gomez and Blanco exchanged vows in 2025. Blanco, a record producer, also explored culinary arts and published a cookbook titled Open Wide.

In May 2024, Blanco told Us Weekly, âCooking is intimidating. Hosting a dinner party? Forget it. But I assure you, Open Wide is like a secret handbook. You can always use it to impress guests.â
Before their relationship began, Gomez, known for âSunset Boulevard,â was working on her cooking abilities.
On a 2020 episode of Selena + Chef, Gomez admitted, âI love cooking, but Iâm clueless. I canât even make eggs right. Being homebound was the perfect chance to get better in the kitchen.â
During the coronavirus pandemic lockdown, Gomez launched her own cooking series, learning recipes from renowned chefs.
âI thought it could be an intriguing concept to create a cooking show where people could learn and enhance their skills alongside me,â Gomez explained to The Hollywood Reporter in 2021, highlighting that the series raised significant funds for local nonprofits. âThe charitable aspect was crucial when we first discussed the show. I always ensure charity is part of any brand partnership I engage in.â
She added, âCooking shows seem to appeal across demographics, and people find them very soothing. Hearing that feedback has been quite fascinating.â
