In a bizarre incident that unfolded on a Monday morning in Illinois, a semi-truck inverted, spilling a staggering amount of applesauce across Interstate 57, resulting in extensive traffic delays, as reported and depicted by various news sources.
The accident took place at approximately 4:38 a.m. at milepost 76, as confirmed by the Illinois State Police informed WCIA.
The single-vehicle incident caused the vast amount of applesauce to pour out onto the interstate, creating a surreal scene.
Fortunately, authorities reported that there were no injuries related to this applesauce fiasco.
Traffic was severely affected, as two lanes of I-57 were closed until about 8:45 a.m., according to state police.
The precise cause of the truck’s overturn remains under investigation.
