Speculation is increasing around the possibility of Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) running for the presidency in 2028. Known for his resilience in Georgia, Ossoff clearly articulates his values and is firmly opposed to MAGA and Trumpism.
Donald Trump nominated Jay Clayton for the position of Director of National Intelligence. Initially, Clayton’s confirmation process seemed straightforward until Sen. Ossoff intervened with probing questions.
Ossoff posed a direct question to Clayton: “Yes or no? Did the President of the United States pardon a convicted narcotrafficker?”

Clayton responded affirmatively, saying, “Yes.”
Ossoff then followed up with, “Who won the 2020 election?”
Clayton’s refusal to answer directly with, “Uh, you know, we’re not, I’m not, I’m not gonna do this with you,” highlighted his unsuitability for the role.
The nominee for Director of National Intelligence, who would be responsible for assessing and gathering intelligence on foreign interference in U.S. elections, failed to acknowledge the clear fact that Joe Biden won the 2020 election.
