Comedian Shane Gillis is gearing up for his biggest tour yet, following a successful eight-city sell-out arena tour earlier this year. Titled “Shane Gillis Live,” the 27-city tour is set to kick off on January 10 at San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center, with stops at major venues across North America and Europe such as Dallas’ American Airlines Center and London’s O2.
Partnering with Outback Presents, Gillis’ tour will include performances at renowned arenas like Tampa’s Amalie Arena and Dublin’s 3Arena. This tour comes hot on the heels of Gillis’ Netflix special “Beautiful Dogs,” which achieved great success by landing in the Top 10 in five countries and spending two weeks in the U.S. Top 10 list. Additionally, Gillis recently made a comeback to “Saturday Night Live” after being hired and then fired in 2019 due to controversial jokes that surfaced online. The decision to fire him was made by NBC executives, but “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels expressed his disagreement with the decision in a recent interview.
Despite facing setbacks earlier in his career, Gillis has emerged as a standout in the stand-up comedy scene. His self-funded debut special “Shane Gillis: Live in Austin” was a hit on Netflix, garnering over 30 million views. His subsequent special, “Beautiful Dogs,” was produced in collaboration with All Things Comedy and his production company, Dad Sick Productions, which he runs alongside his comedy partner John McKeever.
In addition to his successful stand-up career, Gillis also stars in the Netflix series “Tires,” which he co-created with McKeever. Currently working on the show’s second season, Gillis also co-hosts the popular podcast “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast” with comedian Matt McCusker, which boasts over 500 million monthly downloads and holds the title of the Number 1 Patreon podcast globally.
Represented by CAA, Range Media, and the law firm Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Gillis’ “Shane Gillis Live” tour promises to be a must-see event for fans of his comedy. With a jam-packed schedule of performances in cities like Vancouver, Seattle, London, and San Jose, Gillis is set to bring his unique brand of humor to audiences worldwide. Don’t miss the chance to catch this rising star live in action!
