Warner Bros. TNT Launches New Reality Competition Show “Dunkman” Featuring Shaquille O’Neal
Warner Bros. TNT is gearing up to air a new reality competition show titled “Dunkman,” featuring NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal as one of the judges. The show will also include other basketball greats such as Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, Nate Robinson, Mac McClung, and Chris Webber. Set to premiere in December, “Dunkman” will see 40 amateur dunkers from around the world compete for a grand prize of $200,000.
The move comes as Warner Bros. TNT looks to maintain its presence in the basketball world after losing NBA rights to other networks. The show will be hosted by Adam Lefkoe, with Jalen Rose joining as an analyst. The series is set to air on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max, providing viewers with an exciting new sports entertainment option.
The decision to launch “Dunkman” showcases Warner Bros. TNT’s commitment to offering diverse sports programming beyond its flagship show “Inside the NBA.” While the network continues to produce the popular studio show, there are also talks of launching a new sports commentary program featuring the “Inside” hosts. This move demonstrates the network’s dedication to keeping its audience engaged with fresh and innovative content.
Shaquille O’Neal, known for his media presence and commercial endorsements, will bring his expertise to “Dunkman” as a judge. The competition will take place at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta and is produced by TNT Sports in association with A. Smith & Co and Authentic Brands Group.
With the premiere of “Dunkman” on the horizon, fans can look forward to an exciting new chapter in sports entertainment brought to them by Warner Bros. TNT. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes insights as the competition heats up and the contestants vie for the coveted grand prize.
