A shocking video has emerged showing a wild-eyed Uber driver brandishing a gun at a Florida rapper and her friend, demanding them to exit her vehicle.
Krissy Celess, a rising Miami rapper known as Bomb Ass Krissy, shared a video of the terrifying incident that she claimed started when the driver became enraged after being told which turn to take.
âGet out of my vehicle now!â the driver shouts while calling 911. âYouâre no longer in the ride. Get out!â
Shortly after Celess mentioned the driver’s “crazy eyes,” the driver suddenly retrieves a gun and points it at the passengers in the back of the vehicle.
âI never expected anything like this to happen,â Celess told WSVN, expressing her fear of not seeing her 4-year-old son again.
âIt just escalated so quickly,â she said. âI was focused on the gun.â
The rising rapper recounted that the frightening encounter in Miami on Monday night began when she tried to guide the driver on where to turn.
âI said, âHey, the turn is right here. Youâre going to make a left.â And she was in the middle lane and she was like, âOh, you donât have to tell me. Thatâs what I have a GPS for,ââ she told WSVN.
She believes it was her âcomment about her eyesâ that infuriated the gun-wielding driver.
Celess and her friend are now planning to take legal action against Uber, which has confirmed the removal of the driver from its app pending an investigation.
âI would argue that the Uber driver was extremely aggressive, and the reaction of pulling a gun was extremely excessive,â stated attorney Carlos Dominguez, representing both passengers, in an interview with WSVN.
âEmotions can sometimes spiral out of control due to a simple disagreement, but that doesn’t justify being threatened with a firearm,â the attorney added.
âAggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Simply shocking. I mean, you get the first-person perspective of having a gun pointed at you.â
Uber has described the incident as âextremely concerning.â
âWe removed the driverâs access to the app and are continuing to investigate,â the company stated.
According to Uber’s guidelines, drivers are not permitted to carry firearms.
The incident is also under investigation by the police, according to reports.
