On Friday, the Polk County Sheriff in Florida openly ridiculed a well-known pro-police MAGA influencer who had been detained the previous month for allegedly soliciting prostitution online.
At a press conference, Sheriff Grady Judd humorously remarked, “We appreciate his support for law enforcement. He was so fond of us that he ended up in a sting operation and got a chance to be up close with the officers.”
Craig Long, aged 41, has been charged with soliciting another individual to engage in a lewd act. Authorities have accused him of responding to an online escort advertisement established by an undercover detective, as per an affidavit reviewed by JS.
The affidavit mentioned that Long had agreed to pay $100 for a “quick encounter.”
According to the document, upon arriving at the designated location on April 21, Long entered the room to meet the undercover detective and specified that he wanted to begin with oral sex, leading to his arrest.
Long’s attorney did not provide an immediate response to JS’s email seeking comment on the allegations. Court records show that Long has entered a plea of not guilty.
This arrest was part of a larger operation that resulted in 266 arrests during a multi-agency undercover investigation targeting human trafficking and child predators. The operation was named “Polk Around and Find Out.”
Sheriff Judd informed reporters that Long is married and has a significant online presence as a prominent MAGA content creator, noting that “he networks with influential figures, including the president.”
The sheriff then presented the audience with a photograph of the influencer alongside President Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr.
“We inquired about his demeanor. They reported, “Oh, he had a great attitude. He values law enforcement,” Judd commented. “Well, there you have it. Arrested in the human trafficking operation. Let him influence that for some time.”
