Celebrity Eyewear Trends of 2025
Last year, the fashion world saw a divide among celebrities when it came to eyewear choices. Some favored the trendy itty-bitty shades, while others opted for the oversized sunglasses. However, as the summer rolled around, it became evident that big sunglasses were the reigning favorite. Irina Shayk turned heads at Cannes with her stylish shield shades, while Amal Clooney stuck to her signature square frames.
Fast forward to this year, and we see a mix of aviators, shield shades, and wraparound styles gracing the faces of our favorite celebs. Bottega Veneta emerged as a popular choice in the oversized sunglasses category, with Teyana Taylor and Miley Cyrus sporting the brand’s chic frames. Balenciaga’s black shields found favor with Rihanna and RosalĂa, the latter accessorizing with a stunning bejeweled headpiece by Pierpaolo Piccioli. Margot Robbie took a trip down memory lane with a pair of vintage Celine shades from the Phoebe Philo era.
Some celebrities dared to go for inverted frames, making a bold statement with their eyewear choices. Jennifer Lawrence recently showcased her love for statement accessories by pairing a cheetah print Prada bag and a multicolored striped scarf with Dior glasses featuring lenses that pointed inwards towards her forehead. Andie MacDowell followed suit with a similar look in Max Mara at the Cannes Film Festival.
