Premeditated Murder or Self-Defense?
In a striking incident reported by TGP back in September 2024, escalating violence linked to migrant issues has taken a grim turn in an Italian coastal town. A socialite was allegedly filmed repeatedly running over a thief who snatched her handbag.
Recent updates indicate that the woman has now been charged with murder.
According to the New York Post:
“Cinzia Dal Pino, 65, is accused of killing Nourdine Mezgoui, a 52-year-old Moroccan national, in the Italian seaside resort of Viareggio after he stole her bag, as reported by L’Unione Sarda.”
“Shocking security footage shows Dal Pino allegedly mowing down the suspected bag thief with her SUV on September 8 of last year.”

“The video illustrates Mezgoui strolling along the pavement when a vehicle suddenly veers towards him. The SUV then reverses and runs over Mezgoui three times as he lies on the sidewalk.”
In a twist of fate, footage captures the driver exiting the vehicle to retrieve the bag allegedly stolen from her, before casually driving off.
“Dal Pino, a prosperous entrepreneur and socialite, now finds herself facing charges of voluntary homicide, potentially leading to a life sentence.”
Her defense team unsuccessfully contended that the incident should be reclassified as an act of self-defense.”
Currently, Dal Pino is under house arrest with an electronic monitoring device since her arrest.
