A cruise passenger faced a harrowing situation when she found herself trapped inside a water slide suspended over the ocean, more than 100 feet high, as captured in a TikTok video that has gone viral.
The shocking clip, which resonates with the popular “Jet2 Holiday” soundtrack, features a woman struggling to escape from the transparent slide while above the crashing waves.
<p visibly distressed, she is seen attempting to maneuver down the slide with her arms stretched out, trying to inch her way forward.
Passengers nearby quickly shouted out warnings, with one onlooker exclaiming, âOh my God, sheâs literally stuck,â as the brief 13-second video comes to a close.
The TikTok user who shared the footage did not indicate which cruise line was involved in the incident.
However, the ship closely resembles the Norwegian Cruise Lineâs Bliss, which Cruisemapper notes was on a seven-day round-trip Alaskan cruise off the coast of Victoria, British Columbia, on September 19, as reported by People.
This vessel is equipped with a thrilling double-looped water slide known as Ocean Loops.
The ride begins with passengers positioned on a trap door that suddenly opens, sending adventurers into a steep plunge through loops that extend 11 feet off the ship, suspended 159 feet above the ocean, before they land in an onboard pool, according to Norwegian Cruise Lines.

According to Norwegianâs website, riders must be at least 40 inches tall and weigh between 120 and 300 pounds to participate.
This viral TikTok, boasting over 7 million views and nearly 250,000 likes, has left users expressing their shock and fear regarding the predicament.
âIs anyone else feeling a panic attack watching this?â one commenter asked.
Another individual remarked, âBeing stuck in a waterslide above the ocean would push me into a meltdown.â
One user quipped, âThanks to TikTok, Iâve decided Iâll never step into a cruise water slide,â while another added, âI can’t imagine she will ever go on one of these again.â
While it is unclear if the woman managed to escape, one user suggested that the slide is equipped with an emergency hatch that staff can open if a rider gets lodged.
This isnât the first instance where a passenger has reportedly become stuck in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Ocean Loops slide.

In a similar incident from 2022, another video showed a woman appearing to get trapped in the massive slide over the ocean.
The person who shared that video claimed the woman was freed promptly, stating, âBy the time I arrived that way, she was out and ready to try the slide again.â
Just last month, another water slide incident occurred when a glass panel shattered mid-ride on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas.
Dramatic footage depicted water gushing from the breakage as other guests shouted, âStop the slide!â
The cruise line later confirmed that a male passenger was injured and received medical care, though further details regarding the injury remain undisclosed.
